About Terrier Tails

Terrier Tails

A view of life through a Jack Russell Terrier’s eyes.

Miss Sally Miss Sally

Miss Sally wrote the book on the Jack Russell Terrier character. She’s feisty, opinionated and has far too much to say for herself. She’s quite a little gossip too. Yippitty yapping with her friends. She even sends out your editor on assignments to find out the latest in JRT world.

So here it is – Miss Sally’s ‘Daily Yap’ about everything in JRT World and anything else that catches her ever inquisitive little eye.

Dedicated in loving memory to Sir William – the beautiful English Setter that started your editor’s love of Jack Russell Terriers….

Walking Sir William on a one of those crisp white sunny days in deepest Winter a little white dog came scuttling towards us over slippery ice covered snow as fast as her little legs could carry her. It was love at first sight. It did not matter that Sir William was ten times her size. He had a white background and spots. He was perfect. He was the one.

That delightful feisty lady was Miss Sally. Being drop dead gorgeous, Sir William had many admirers. She fought them all off - even ones many times her size; Miss Molly, a glossy black Labrador, Bella, a flirty mutt, the list goes on and on. Pulling ears, nipping ankles – it was all fair game. As far as Miss Sally was concerned Sir William was hers.

And there began my love of Jack Russell Terriers. But for Miss Sally I would never have got to know this delightful breed. Sir William started it all. Sadly, that summer Sir William passed away. Terrier Tails is dedicated to his memory and Jack Russell Terriers everywhere.
